Dear Neighbours

I have been following up with the Council regarding our proposed CLEAN-UP DAY initiative for the Holmewood NHW Zone - including Holmewood Road, Gardens, Maplestead and Cotherstone Roads. 

Its taken some time but I have had written commitment from them that they will assist us in this initiative - most likely providing bags, wheel barrow(s), some tools and possibly a skip - and will take the rubbish away afterwards.

There are still some details to be worked out but rather than delay further I thought I would send out a message and try and get a date set, plus throw a few ideas out there for your feedback.

If you would like to join in this event it will essentially mean getting together with your neighbours for good sweep up and clean up of the roads - litter, weeding, branches and brambles, disposing of any larger items ( skip depending), and potentially some repairs to things around the Gardens. 

1. Proposed Date? - Please let me know, Saturday 26th April or 3rd May I offer up - please let me know which is your preferred.

2. It would be nice if we could have a a) small table for some b) tea/coffee/juice, c) biscuits and d) sandwiches etc erected in Holmewood Gardens for a focal point to meet and get refreshments - any volunteers for providing items a) to d)?

3. Need an acting coordinator for each Road to be a contact point and organizer on the day, distribute bags, telling jokes, organizing the clean-up and moving rubbish etc.  Hope to get some leaflets made up for the event - I will give these to you to distribute in your Road to get other neighbours on-board.  Again - any volunteers?
