RE: Holmewood Home Zone final design
We
are pleased to be able to enclose the final design of the Holmewood Home Zone
Scheme outlining
1.
the improvements to be made to the three junctions adjoining Holmewood Gardens.
2.
the closure of Holmewood Road to through traffic by way of an emergency access
only gate .
3.
the design of the Point No Entrv at the junction of Brixton Hill.
These
plans are the result of a lengthy consultation and design process carried out
over the last 3 years. Whilst we are aware that there may be some minor changes
required, this version is being treated as the final version and, as such, major
changes will be impossible to achieve at this stage. We appreciate the Homezone
has taken time to deliver and acknowledge the delays which have been partly due
to difficulties gaining agreement on the design process and our own staffing
issues. However, we are pleased that we are now approaching construction of a
final scheme and are keen to implement as soon as possible. The current
timetable for construction is as follows:
July
2003
- Traffic Management Order undertaken - this is the first legal requirement for
traffic 'bylaw' that allows us to do the work.
August
2003 - Resurfacing of Holmewood Homezone Area streets
Late
- August 2003 - Homezone construction begin -as shown on plan
September
2003 - Completion of construction process
A
meeting has been arranged at
7pm on 22 July 2003 at the Friends Meeting House
Redlands Way on the Roupel Park Estate
